Class B RVs may be the smallest of the RV classes, but don’t let that fool you. They have many of the amenities of the larger classes in a compact, easy-to-drive vehicle. To help you learn more about these RVs before you start browsing Class B RVs for sale near you, RVT took a look at which makes and models of Class B RVs generated the most buyer inquiries on our marketplace.
What is a Class B RV?
Class B RVs are the smallest of the motorized recreational vehicles. Also known as camper vans, they are typically around twenty feet long, with an exterior height between nine and ten feet tall. Streamlined, versatile, and fuel efficient, it’s no wonder the popularity of Class Bs and van life is growing. It’s not for everyone, though. Compact size equals smaller living space and less storage, therefore camper vans are ideal for solo travelers and couples, but most are not well-suited for families. Most Class B RVs offer many of the comforts of home, including a galley kitchen, bed, entertainment system, and flush toilets. Due to their size, they fit easily in driveways (separate guest bedroom, anyone?), and can go anywhere a van can—including drive-thrus and narrow, winding roads. They are simple to park and maneuver, can fit in any campsite, and often can be serviced at a traditional mechanic shop. These versatile vehicles can also be used for tailgating, daytripping, at sporting events, and more.
